Zack Spear joined Halifax in 2026. His responsibilities include identifying, evaluating, and executing investments, as well as supporting portfolio companies.
Previously, Zack was an Associate at Silver Oak Services Partners, a lower middle market private equity firm. Prior to that, he was an Associate Analyst at Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Zack began his career as an investment banking analyst at Wells Fargo.
Zack earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma and graduated with High Honors as a Wallman Scholar. He earned a BS, magna cum laude, in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University. Zack is also a CFA charter holder.
Zack enjoys playing amateur golf tournaments, is a die-hard baseball fan, likes reading U.S. history and spending time with his wife.
