Familia Dental is a dental service organization providing quality, affordable dental and orthodontic care to families in small cities and other underserved communities. Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, Familia operates 37 clinics across six states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, New Mexico, Texas and Wisconsin).
Pirtek
Founded in 1988, Pirtek Europe has grown to become the leading franchised provider of fluid transfer solutions and on-site hydraulic hose replacement throughout the UK and Continental Europe. Specializing in hydraulic hoses, pipe fittings and couplings, Pirtek Europe has service centers and on-site teams working in Belgium, Germany, Austria, Ireland, the Netherlands and the UK. With over 170 hose service and supply centers across Europe supported by over 700 mobile workshops, Pirtek offers a rapid response hose service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In November 2018, Halifax successfully exited Pirtek Europe.
U.S. Environmental Services
United States Environmental Services (“USES“) is a provider of mission-critical, recurring industrial services and non-discretionary environmental services. USES offers “response” (oil spill clean-up, remediation) and industrial cleaning with both scheduled and emergency capabilities. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Company operates from 17 branch locations strategically positioned across the Gulf South region in close proximity to aging and critical infrastructure, such as refineries and petrochemical facilities (“downstream” energy), storage terminals and liquids pipelines (“midstream” energy), high volume transportation corridors, power plants, ports and waterways, and productive oil fields (“upstream” energy”), including the Permian Basin and Bakken Shale.
Golden State Overnight
Golden State Overnight (GSO) is a leading provider of overnight delivery services to every address in California and metropolitan regions of Nevada and Arizona. The company was founded in 1995, is based in Pleasanton, California and serves its customers from 31 operating facilities throughout the Western U.S. With a focus on exceptional service levels, web-enabled systems and a 100% employee-based delivery model (no independent contractors), GSO offers a strong alternative to the other regional and national carriers.
In September 2016, Halifax successfully exited Golden State Overnight.

Caring Brands International, a global franchisor of in-home medical and non-medical care services, includes US-based Interim HealthCare, UK-based Bluebird Care, and Australia-based Just Better Care. The company’s geographic footprint now reaches seven countries with 530 franchise locations, collectively representing more than $1 billion in combined network sales.
In September 2015, Halifax successfully exited Caring Brands International.
K2 Industrial Services
K2 Industrial Services, Inc. is one of the largest outsourced industrial services providers in the U.S. K2 performs cleaning, coating, insulation, scaffolding and roofing work, much of which is recurring in nature, in more than 700 facilities. The company serves a diverse array of customers in a number of industries, including refining, petro-chemical, specialty chemical, power generation, steel and paper. The company has 22 branch locations across the U.S., allowing it to serve Fortune 500 customers nationwide, including many on an exclusive or preferred basis. K2 has significant operations in the Great Lakes, the Gulf Coast, Southern California and the Mid-Atlantic.
XLA
XLA provides acquisition lifecycle support, grants management, and program management support for information technology and mission support programs for government and commercial customers. The Company analyzes, designs, develops, reviews, and supports programs for numerous federal agencies and organizations across the entire acquisition and grants lifecycles. XLA has successfully completed hundreds of tasks supporting domestic and international grants, fellowships, and humanitarian relief efforts. The Company’s program management support services include: traditional project scheduling; budget management; compliance with government directives; and validating IT solutions through its enterprise architecture, information security, and requirements management expertise. All of the Company’s program management projects and corporate procedures are managed through its ISO9001:2008 certified processes, and consistently deliver innovations and improvements. XLA was formed in April 2012 through the merger of XL Associates and ALON. On October 8, 2012 XL Inc. and ALON, Inc., announced a name change to XLA.

The company’s principle product lines include air and oil filters, wiper blades, chemical additives, and tools. With more than 8,000 SKUs, Service Champ offers a broad array of products and brands including its own private label products. Headquartered in Chalfont, PA, Service Champ’s distribution network consists of eight strategically located distribution centers across North America that allow for optimal delivery times to customers.
In April 2012, Halifax successfully exited Service Champ through a sale to Snow Phipps.

Animal Supply Company, LLC is one of the nation’s leading pet food and supply distributors. Headquartered in Irving, Texas, Animal Supply provides weekly service to customers nationwide. With more than 1,000,000 square feet of warehouse space and some of the most advanced distribution technologies available, the company delivers over 15,000 unique SKUs to more than 9,000 customers with market–leading efficiency and accuracy.
Nutrition Physiology Company, LLC
Nutrition Physiology Company, LLC is a microbial technology company specializing in products for ruminant livestock nutrition and food safety. The company’s flagship product, Bovamine, is designed to improve bovine feed efficiency and increase digestive health. NPC has a strong commitment to the research and development of its family of products. NPC provides customers with consistency in research, state-of-the-art application systems, and knowledgeable technicians devoted to superior service. NPC is based in Kansas City, MO.
In February 2016, Halifax successfully exited NPC through a sale to Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (100+ year old, publicly traded company based in Denmark. Sumbnol: CHR).

With offices located in New Jersey, New York, Las Vegas, Washington State, Mississippi, South America and Macau, North American Video has built an extensive client list over the years, including numerous casinos, schools, corporations, retail, banking and financial institutions.
PJ United
PJ United, founded in 1991, is the country’s largest franchisee of Papa John’s International, a leading national brand for carry-out and delivery pizza. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, PJ United operates 116 stores in Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, Utah, and Virginia. Papa John’s is well-known for its emphasis on quality, premium pizzas through the “Better Ingredients, Better Pizza” approach. For eight years running, consumers have rated Papa John’s No. 1 in customer satisfaction among all national pizza chains in the highly regarded American Customer Satisfaction Index.
Taylor
Taylor Logistics, LLC (“Taylor”) is a leading, asset-based provider of transportation and logistics services for midstream energy companies. Taylor, headquartered in Mesquite, Texas, hauls crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids. It is the largest independent in the U.S. , with operations stretching from Alabama to Utah and the Gulf of Mexico to Canada. The company utilizes a fleet of over 325 specialized tractors and trailers and network of strategically located pipeline injection points to move crude oil from remote or marginal well sites that are not connected to gathering systems to pipelines, storage facilities, and refineries. Taylor serves as a critical link in our nation’s crude oil supply chain. Taylor also engages in the marketing of natural gas liquids, such as butane, propane, and natural gasoline.
In May 2010, Halifax successfully exited Taylor through a sale to Gibsons Energy ULC, a leading midstream oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.
PolyPipe
PolyPipe is the second largest manufacturer of polyethylene pressure pipe in North America, offering one of the broadest product lines in its industry. PolyPipe’s product offering includes straight length pipe from 2″ to 65″ diameter, continuous coiled pipe from 1/2″ to 6″ diameter, and pipe engineered with both high-density and medium-density resins. PolyPipe also manufactures U-Liner®, a patented product that is used in the trenchless pipe rehabilitation market. PolyPipe’s products are used in wide variety of applications and end markets, including general industrial, mining, potable water/wastewater, oil & gas production, and natural gas distribution. The company operates seven modern production facilities in five states and is headquartered in Gainesville, TX.
In April 2012, Halifax successfully exited PolyPipe through a sale to Dura-Line Holdings, Inc.
Maverick Healthcare
Maverick Healthcare, headquartered in Mesa, AZ, is a leading provider of comprehensive home healthcare products and services in the Southwest. Maverick offers a full range of home health services including home respiratory therapy, home infusion therapy, and home medical/custom rehabilitation equipment through a network of 17 branch locations in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada. In addition, the company operates six sleep diagnostic sites in Arizona and New Mexico.
In November 2007, Halifax successfully exited Maverick Healthcare through a sale to Beecken Petty O’Keefe and Company.
IASIS Healthcare
IASIS Healthcare, headquartered in Franklin, TN, is a leading owner and operator of 15 acute care hospitals with a total of 2,705 beds. IASIS develops and operates networks of medium-sized hospitals in high-growth urban and suburban markets and currently operates in five regions: (i) Salt Lake City, UT; (ii) Phoenix, AZ; (iii) Las Vegas, NV; (iv) Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL; and (v) four locations in Texas. The Company also operates a behavioral health center in Phoenix, three ambulatory surgery centers, and a Medicaid managed health plan in Phoenix that serves over 90,000 members. Halifax co-invested in IASIS with affiliated fund, TPG.
Universal Hospital Services, Inc.
Universal Hospital Services, Inc. (UHS), founded in 1939 and headquartered in Edina, MN, is the largest medical equipment outsourcing company in the country. The Company’s diverse customer base includes more than 2,800 acute care hospitals and approximately 3,100 alternate site providers. UHS also has extensive and long-standing relationships with over 300 major medical equipment manufacturers, the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and hundreds of integrated delivery networks (IDNs). The Company’s service offerings fall into three general categories: medical equipment outsourcing, technical and professional services, and medical equipment sales, remarketing, and disposables. All of the Company’s services leverage its nationwide logistical network, which covers all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
In June 2007, Halifax successfully exited Universal Hospital Services, Inc. through a sale to Bear Sterns Merchant Banking.
Meineke Car Care Centers
Meineke Car Care Centers, founded in 1972 and headquartered in Charlotte, NC, is a nationwide franchisor of automotive service centers. Through its franchisee system, the Company services approximately 2.2 million cars per year in 48 states through 835 domestic and 41 international locations. Meineke service centers perform a wide range of automotive services, including exhaust, brake and suspension repairs. In addition, Meineke initiates and supports franchisees from start-up through the entire service delivery chain.
In June 2005, Halifax successfully exited Meineke Car Care Centers, Inc. through a management-led recapitalization with financing provided by Allied Capital.
Soil Safe Inc.
Soil Safe, Inc., headquartered in Columbia, MD, provides a soil remediation solution for the removal and cleanup of petrochemical contaminated soils. Soil Safe’s projects range from smaller leaking underground storage tanks to large urban redevelopment projects. These soils, albeit requiring treatment to be rendered safe, are not considered to be “hazardous” under EPA’s regulatory regime. The Company’s stabilization process, which is less expensive than competing technologies, involves mixing the contaminated soil with a recipe of additives that permanently binds the contaminants, thus eliminating the possibility of leaching. The processed soil has been determined by state regulators to be clean and appropriate for reuse applications such as road building materials and other structural fill applications. The Company currently has facilities in Baltimore, MD and Logan, NJ, each with a cost effective service area of 150 miles.
In September 2005, The Halifax Group successfully exited Soil Safe, Inc. through a sale to American Capital Strategies, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ACAS).
InSight Health Services Corp, Inc.
InSight Health Services Corp, Inc. is the largest integrated provider of diagnostic imaging services in the United States, offering magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), as well as other radiological services. The Company’s comprehensive platform includes the second largest network of mobile diagnostic systems, the third largest network of fixed site diagnostic imaging centers, and the largest network of hospital-outsourced radiology services. Through its extensive geographic presence, InSight has been able to contract with approximately 240 hospitals and more than 850 managed care organizations, serving over 750,000 patients annually across 30 states. InSight is headquartered in Lake Forest, CA.

MTW Corporation is an innovative provider of software systems and application architecture and development and services primarily for property & casualty insurance companies and state government agencies.
In July 2001, Halifax successfully exited MTW Corporation through a sale to The Innovation Group plc (“TiG”), a UK public entity.
NPSG
National Packaging Solutions Group, Inc. (NPSG), headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, is a leading independent manufacturer and distributor of corrugated and other packaging materials. Through its multiple locations in the Southeast, the Company provides “just-in-time” delivery of packaging products, inventory management, and other value-added services. NPSG’s strategy is to leverage purchasing power resulting from order aggregation and to transition the Company’s acquired businesses from a primarily manufacturing-based business model to a full-service distribution model.
