Private Equity Firm Completes Investment in BCI Burke
WASHINGTON, D.C. – JUNE 1, 2017 – The Halifax Group (“Halifax”) announced today that it has completed an investment in BCI Burke (“Burke” or “the Company”), a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial playground equipment. Halifax is investing alongside the Company’s management team, which will retain a meaningful ownership position. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Burke, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, makes play systems, fitness and recreation products for schools, municipalities, child care centers and housing associations nationwide and is known for product innovation, customer service and product quality
The management team, led by CEO Michael Phelan, will remain with the company.
