SEATTLE, WA — November 15, 2012 — Olivier Amice, former CEO of FURminator and Royal Canin USA, has been appointed to the board of directors of Animal Supply Company, a Federal Way, WA-based wholesale distributor of pet products to the independent retail market.

“Olivier brings a unique blend of managerial expertise, pet industry experience and brand development perspective to our board,” said Jeff Sutherland, President of Animal Supply. “I believe that Olivier’s prior experience as a vendor to pet distributors will help us be an even better partner to Animal Supply’s vendor partners and that his product experience will enable us to improve our value-added services to our retail partners.”

Most recently, Mr. Amice served as the President and CEO of FURminator, a worldwide leader in professional deshedding tools. At FURminator, Mr. Amice repositioned the brand, expanded the product line, restructured North American distribution, and expanded international distribution to grow revenues by 25% in two years. Prior to that, Mr. Amice was President and CEO of Royal Canin Argentina.

“I am excited to join the board of this very exciting and dynamic company. Animal Supply’s commitment to the independent channel and the success of its vendor and retail partners has made it the leader in independent pet retail distribution. I look forward to the opportunity to help them expand upon the strategic platform they have built,” commented Mr. Amice.

Mr. Amice becomes the second independent director on the Animal Supply board of directors, joining Mr. Gregg Marshall, founder and former CEO of The Sygma Network Inc.
