Delphi Behavioral Health Group Announces Acquisition of Family Recovery Specialists

Leading Health Group Adds South Florida Family-focused Recovery Program to Roster

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – July 18, 2018 – Delphi Behavioral Health Group, a leading nationwide provider of addiction and detox treatment programs, announced today the acquisition of Family Recovery Specialists (FRS), located in Miami, Florida.

Family Recovery Specialists is an outpatient program that provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment for adults and adolescents suffering from substance use and mental health disorders. They use a family-based approach to work with those suffering with these issues. Family Recovery Specialists is staffed with highly trained, bilingual professionals (in English and Spanish) who are also accustomed to working with many multicultural needs. In addition, FRS has an Ivy League trained psychiatrist and a Medical Director with board certification in addiction medicine.

The practice is led by Co-Founders who have over 35 years of combined industry experience, Raymond Estefania, MS, LMHC, CAP, CIP, ICADC and Ana M. Moreno, MS, LMHC, MCAP, CIP, ICADC, CDWF, CAI-II. Ray has been an addiction counselor, therapist and interventionist for over two decades, and previously served as the Adolescent Program Director at South Miami Hospital’s Addiction Treatment Program. Considered an expert in the field, Mr. Estefania frequently provides education and training to physicians, nurses, other mental health professionals, teachers and school administrators on topics related to addiction and recovery. He is a professional member of Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA), the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs (NATSAP), and the Network of Independent Interventionists (NII).

Ms. Moreno, who also serves as Clinical Director, is a Psychotherapist and addiction specialist with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She began her career at South Miami Hospital’s Addiction Treatment Center, where she worked as a primary therapist and ultimately as supervisor of the adolescent program. Most recently, Ms. Morena served as Associate Clinical Director of Lucida, a substance abuse and mental health treatment program in Lantana, Florida. This program was created as a multicultural program considering the family dynamics of the Hispanic population that includes the family as an integral part of the process of recovery.

“We are looking forward to our partnership with Delphi Behavioral Group,” said Moreno. “With their expertise and resources, FRS will be positioned to expand its services and offer treatment to many more individuals who suffer from life-threatening addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. Ray Estefania and I both will remain in our current roles and will continue to lead the program’s operations with Delphi’s support.”

“We are excited to partner with Family Recovery Specialists, and with Mr. Estefania and Ms. Moreno,” said Dominic Sirianni, CEO at Delphi Behavioral Health Group. “They bring to the Delphi Family a level of clinical excellence and breadth of experience that one does not often encounter in this industry. With the help of The Halifax Group, we have been rapidly growing and expanding our reach across the country, and Family Recovery Specialists marks the first adolescent- and family-focused practice in our portfolio. By branching out into a new category of treatment, we will be able to help Family Recovery Specialists provide even more people with high-quality, life-saving care they need.”

Family Recovery Specialists focuses on treating the whole individual including their physical, psychological, behavioral, social and spiritual components. Utilizing evidenced-based approaches that focus on healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices for both adolescents and adults, these treatments include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing within a Stages of Change Model, 12-step and SMART Recovery principles to teach participants critical skills required for long term recovery and relapse prevention.
